Thank you, thank you for this: I didn't know there was a film about Grey Owl.
Most Indian tribes were given to adoption - I don't see why any of them would have objected to picking up another Englishman. At the time of the Trail of Tears, the principal chief of the Cherokee - that most exogamous of tribes - was only one-eighth Cherokee by ancestry. John Ross was mostly Scots.
Thanks again for bringing Grey Owl's environmental legacy to the fore.
