Error in the Entry: it's class 2Y... this is my favourite Diana Wynne Jones book, and one I read several times a year (like six or seven) just because it's so good. Well, well worth it. The Tough Guide to Fantasyland is also brilliant, as are most of the rest.
Hmm, perhaps I'd better stop the unreserved praise...
