Shall I make a vow to only use Linux tomorrow?

No, I won't because, I want to go be mean to some Cardassians in Deep Space Nine: The Fallen, which won't work under Wine (surprise surprise)

Quite, but the journey of many megabytes starts with a first step of one bit. The wise man forsakes wine and all other polluted algorithms.

A good one i've found is if a computer has a roller-ball mouse, put a piece of tape over the ball. You can then sit back and watch people ry to find out why the mouse won't work.

The Average Joe No One EVER Suspects

It'd work better if you popped out the ball and taped dowm the little senory things inside so they can't spin.

try again, with most of it gone:
you can also do something creative with the sounds(startup, open, close, etc.). make sure it's annoying and/or embarassing, goes on for a long time, LOUD, and that you've fixed the speakers beforehand so's they can't turn it down right away. do something for every "event" there is a possible sound for. (you could just put clear tape on the dial.)

another thing would be to put a mouse-over on the desktop(if that's even possible) to create a very chain of Java popups. one (fairly deep in)should have the button that would be pressed if someone were to just hold down return in the hope that that would end it quickly be one to make a loop. the second one should end the loop.
