The Adams

0 Conversations

Part of the h2g2 Theatre.

The Adams is the largest of the three auditoriums within the theatre complex. The stage is surrounded on three sides by the audience.

The stage itself is very big; wide and deep. It stands a foot above the lowest level of the tiered seating. There are no wings, but the actors enter through doors at the back of the stage*. Scenery generally remains constant for the length of the production; but there are flies* above the stage to move some scenery in.

There is an extensive chamber underneath the stage to allow actors to enter that way too; this chamber can be incorporated into productions for extra effect - for example as a pool of water.

The seating is on two levels - the lower level tiered and the circle above; which extends around the walls of the auditorium on three sides.
