Munchies
Livzy Posted Jan 3, 2001
You betcha it's good munchie food!
If you've really got screaming munchies try it with a side order of cheezy chips - basically just get a plateful of chips (fries not crisps) grate a huge amount of cheese onto the top and bung it in the microwave until the cheese melt (about 30 seconds should do the trick)
*WARNING*
The cheese may well cause third degree burns to the roof of your mouth so test a couple first before shoving a massive handful down yer gob !!!!

My local Pub used to do cheesy chips, management changed and they don't anymore. I have to make them myself and haven't got a microwave, so I cheat and use the grill!
Grill vs Microwave
Livzy Posted Jan 4, 2001
Many people do take the grill option but it tends to make the chees a bit crusty and it only stays on the top - with the microwaved variety the cheese oozes through all the chips.
Question of personal preference I guess

...cheese. Why doesn't h2g2 have a cheese icon?
It's sorely needed since cheese is the most magnificent, most splendid, most fabulous food in the entire known and unknown universe.
Mmmmmm....

Blessed be the cheesemakers indeed!
Just checked your entry on mozzerella! liked it, tho don't think I'll ever get around to trying it out!
Don't worry about the 30 thing as experience is a great thing to have on the young people!
Mmmmmm....
FG Posted Jan 4, 2001
Everybody's liked my entry on mozzarella, but damned if I can't get a scout to actually recommend it.
Feta's my favorite, though. It's hard, salty, and stinky. Just like how I like my men.
Ooooh! A stick up!
Zarniroop (er.... I'll think of something amusing to put here soon!) Posted Jan 4, 2001
Thanks for that FG!
I've had that there for ages and not noticed, tho you are the first to point it out I must dash off and fix it!

Goats should not...

...provide cheese.
Personally I think feta is one of the most horrendous products in the world - And I LOVE cheese!
Only surpassed in ming-y-ness by tofu and black olives!

Hey Livzy
I agree!
I'm not a big fan of feta and I hate Olives of any colour!
Tho I like olive oil!
Sorry FG I'm not a big fan of men, tho I've only tried one or two!
Zarniroop (Ex-President of the universe)
Bah!
FG Posted Jan 6, 2001
Begone with your anti-feta attitudes! When Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, et. al. dwelt atop Mount Olympus they constantly called for feta, which they would consume with large amounts of Kalamata olives and ambrosia. Who are you to question the greatness of a cheese created by the same people who invented philosophy, geometry, and trigonometry?
Not to mention the two other great cheeses in the Greek triumverate: kasseri and myzithra.
May you be sentenced to eat American processed Velveeta cheese for the rest of your miserable and dull lives.
Bah!
Livzy Posted Jan 9, 2001
You're very welcome!
You could always have a butterscotch angel delight for afters!
Bah!
FG Posted Jan 11, 2001
"Butterscotch angel delight"? What might that be?
I like cheesecake, myself. How appropriate in this forum.
