Dear BigAl,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience of eye surgery with us. I had my first cataract operation about seventeen years ago in South Africa. I had another one inthe other eye England about seven years ago.
I was diagnosed as suffering from diabetes in 2000. I am really worried now about my sight as I have also had a global stroke at the end of November.

Your report is full of hope and I shall try and treat my eyes with more care!!.

Age of course is such an issue and I wonder how I am going to cope with loss of vision. I am going to visit a religious sister who is 92, has failing eyesight but can still read a book under a huge magnifiying contraption. I can still see my computer when I have the type on the largest size, so that is good. !!

Kind regards Hope you continue to make good progress

Christiane
