I sincerely hope they don't!
Quadratic theory is an underlying principle in so many fields.
It's a 'building block' of many complicated mathematical arguments.
I would say it's the next 'step up' from linear equations, and it helps us when we
plot 'graphs' and in simple concepts like 'throwing a ball'.
Incidentally, I believe 'b2 - 4ac' is known as 'the discriminant'.
Good article! ( But then, I'm biased )
