A Conversation for 'Get Back' - The 'Lost' Beatles Album

Well Done!

What an excellent article.I didn't know that the Let it be album was originally called Get Back.I remember seeing the Let it be Film when I was a teenager and I bought the Let it be box set which had a book with glossy photos of the band.
I think we all knew that Let it Be was really their swan song but even so were devastated when the split actual came.
The best part of the film was the roof top concert and the concept has been copied several times since.

I really wish I had a copy of the Let It Be film - but yes, the whole concert is fascinating to watch and see - although I can only see slightly edited highlights. I also wish I had a copy of the Beatles playing "Rocker" just to know what it was like - I'm surprised, and a little disappointed, that it wasn't on the Anthology.

But thanks for reading. smiley - smiley

This really is an informative Entry! I consider myself to be a bit of a Beatles buff, but I'd never heard of "Rocker" before.
Sadly, I suppose that anything that was left off the "Anthology" series is now unlikely to see the light of day. I'd really like to hear "Carnival Of Light", the free-form piece The Beatles recorded specially for a hippy "happening" at the Roundhouse in London. It's reputedly very anarchic - a bit of a forerunner of "Revolution 9".
I've read that Paul McCartney wanted it on "Anthology 2", but it was left off because, for some reason, George Harrison absolutely hates it!
