Very concise, I'm quite impressed that you managed to keep it so short, I haven't seen the penguin paperback,
but I did get it off the net, and it took up 64 pages!! Well done,

There's actually quite a lot of redundancy in the poems. For instance. "Gilgamesh walked one league in, and it was dark. Gilgamesh walked two leagues in, and it was dark..." as this is describing the Twelve Leagues of the Night (I think, I haven't got the book to hand), I won't continue but will leave it to your devices to fill in the ellipsis.
