I absolutely adore Shirl (think Des O'connor got away with calling her 'Shirl' on his tv show)
I've been very lucky, and been to see her twice, I can now die happy.
My mum loved Shirl, she would always play her LPs (when it was just me and her at home, my dad & the boys out of the way)
And to this day I still love to listen to her (usually when I'm home alone, and I can release the diva in me)Also I seem to be able to remember all the lyrics, from when I was a little girl.
