A Conversation for Tom Paxton: Singer/Songwriter

I have seen Tom Paxton live twice in the 1970s
The first time, in 1971, I had the pleasure of seeing him live at the University of Essex, and was responsible for lighting. Unfortunately, I did manage to temporarily shine a green light onto the top of his head ... Given his lack of hair, it didn't work too well. Sorry Tom! It was fixed as the concert progressed and the lamp was changed to something more flattering!
It was a wonderful performance in the intimate setting of the university's lecture theatres.
Later saw him in the late 70's at Reading ... not so intimate, but still a wonderful performance.
Always the right amount of humour to balance the serious songs.
A real troubador ...
