A Conversation for Driving Etiquette - Portugal

Most impressing: portuguese roundabouts

Imagine a roundabout with three lanes (which for me being a German and having seen a two-laned one only once during my driving lessons). Then one could ask why they paint these white lines on the road anyway, when there is a five-laned traffic going on. Another question is how to exit such a roundabout when you're driving in the leftmost lane...

For all the rest, I have learned to ignore the ignorance of portuguese and spanish drivers to be able to survive in this kind of traffic. Admittedly, the spanish traffic is at least slow, so that my speed trained brain can react accordingly on time.

(At this point my spanish girlfriend is objecting vehemently but I'll go on and post it anyway smiley - smiley )
