A Conversation for Classic Poisons

A grammatical error at the beginning poisons, if you will, the entire entry: "The toxicity of many medicinal substances were discovered..." should be WAS discovered; the verb refers to the singular subject, toxicity, not the plural substances. Or, it could perhaps more properly be corrected to: "The toxicities of many medicinal substances were discovered..." speaking about more than one toxicity.
And, under Aconite, it might be good to mention that gardeners have been fatally poisoned by Monkshood merely by brushing against it. There are examples in the press.
