Scientists have confirmed that primates fed on such a diet typically live 2x the time of primates fed the usual diet. "Youthful" charateristics also are extended into age.
Also, they may eventually have an enzyme treatment which will lengthen the telomirs- small sperm-like thingies in the nucleus of your cells which determine how many times said cell may divide. Each division causes the telomir's in the two new cells to have a bit shorter tail, until the tail is gone and the organisim dies of "old age".
