Life Too Short?

There are many well-known ways to extend your life:
Avoid cigarettes. Never take up the habit yourself, and never go anywhere that is going to be filled with smoke, like the pub, an outdoor concert or sporting event, etc.
Heart disease can be a concern of the past when you give up meat entirely in favor of a vegetarian diet. Howevere, commercial veggies come with preservatives, pesticides, and other chemicals, so you'd best grow your own.
Alcohol shortens the life span as well, and should be avoided, even in social circumstances.
Direct sunlight ages the skin and causes cancer. If you absolutely must be out of doors, wear a large hat and copious quantities of SPF-50 sunblock. Consider a summer (Northern hemisphere summer) residence in McMurdo Station, Antarctica, and winter in Northern Alaska.
Sex has been linked to memory loss in men, so unless you want to forget how long you've lived, it's best to give it up now.
Do all of these things, and you may live longer. Or, you may not, but it'll definitely SEEM longer.

For the Northerners planning on living those extra 20 years, don't forget to bump up your pension savings - so you don't die of hypothermia. You never know Lucky to live so long? You still need some quality of life.

That, in a nutshell, is the point I was endeavoring to make. It is so easy to get caught up with worry over your health that you forget to enjoy it. "All things in moderation, including moderation" is my motto.
