Contrary to popular belief, curries do not shorten life or make you evil tempered. Curries are in fact extremely healthy. Every spice used in its preparation is a preservative, all have some antiseptic value and many are carminatives. In winter the spices ward off the cold and in summer aid perspiration, increasing the body's ability to remove toxins through the skin.
