A Conversation for George Orwell - Author
NOT Banned in S. Africa

George Orwell had a couple of books not banned in S. Africa - but the comments on them were interesting... 1984 was "borderline" because of concerns that it "encouraged rebellion". Meanwhile, animal farm was "a good story", but there was a minor problem that it "espoused communism".
Well, it made me laugh, anyway - no matter how serious it was...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
