Have you heard of that secret where whilst playing GTA San Andreas, you can go to Liberty city by flying in one direction for a while?

That's a mission called 'Saint Marks Bistro' where you have to get in a plane, fly east, you then suddenly appear in Saint Marks Bistro (in Liberty City) and you kill everyone there. Once done you suddenly appear back in the plane and fly back to LAs Veturas airport. I don't think that you can actually fly to Liberty City. smiley - erm

Ive read that if you take a fast plane (Shamal or AT400) and fly north east i think it was, youll get to liberty city after a while.

Unfortunately it isnt brilliant, as half of the building arnt solid, which can lead to a few problems......

It wouldn't suprise me as they'd need to place Liberty City somewhere on the map. In GTA3 there was a place called the ghost-town which was where the opening sequence where Catalina shot you took place. If you get in a dodo and fly through the mountains to the north (they're not solid) then you come across it. Most of it isn't solid, but with skill you can land on a dumpster in a back alley.

Ive never really played GTA 3, but ive got Vice City and San Andreas.

I started a guide about San Andreas (under construction), detailing the more specific points like: robbing houses, tags, extra secrets, etc.
But I started it when I was on the first island, so i might carry on now im on the third.

Quick point: I find it amazing how many people dont know that GTA 3 is actually called GTA Liberty city

Little fact: On GTA 1, the three different cities are Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas.

>>So how come i saw GTA Liberty City on a game cover? (probs American)<<

I don't know, but I have a PS2 and a PC version of the game and they're both called 'Grand Theft Auto III'.

>>I must hav mist that bit in your entry, which by the way I found very good, how long did it take to make?<<

I think that it was in a footnote.

It took me about three weeks to write up fully.

After being in C.H.E.E.S.E., you bother reading footnotes.
If your wondering why, have a look for yourself, its all totally stupid.

If you think its humiliatingly cretinous, then how do you think i feel? I know them PERSONALLY!!!!!!!!!

Trust me they never shut up except between the words cheese and frogs

More to the point, Have you heard of GTA SA easter eggs (in-game secrets)

Just wondering....

Post 10

Dante

That should have been, you dont bother reading footnotes

Well I read footnotes because I like their linkiness.

I've seen some of the Easter egss in San Andreas. I've taken pictures of the ones at the Gant bridge; one at the bottom of the bridge showing its statistics, and the one on top of the bridges tower that says "There are no Easter Eggs up here. Go away."

Theres another one in Las Venturas where if you stand in the bomb shop alleyway next to the Gym and look at this building, you can see people just walking off like in lemmings (made by rockstar b4 they changed there name)

Post 13

GodBen (The Magical Astronomer) - 00000011

I'll have to check that out. I know of another one in San Fierro where if you go out the back door of the driving schooland climb up onto the building, walk to the front and quickly turn back, a body will fall from the sky ans splatter on the ground.

Have you found Liberty City as I was just looking and couldn't find it.

Ive been looking north, during the mission freefall, a plane comes from Sonny Forelli, so i thought if i went north (it comes from the north) i could find it, how wrong i was, i was so far away, i had to reload my save game to get back.

Im not sure if its true, but i saw it on the internet, and this guy said that hes been there.

Aparantally there are a number of different ways of getting there, resulting in different things.

I think if you go by boat you can see the whole island, but if by plane, then only portland, or something like that. Im not sure, but half the island isnt solid, so u can check by shooting something and if it sparks then its solid.

Right know im about 3 lvls off Saint Mark's Bistro, I really wana do it, it sounds like an absolutely brilliant mission.

Black Project was really cool, and its deffinitely my favourite, what's yours?

In the mission 'Saint Marks Bistro' you have to get in a Shamal and fly east-north-east from LV airport. After about two minutes of flying you suddenly appear in Saint Marks Bistro. I checked around that direction and couldn't find anything.

>>Im not sure if its true, but i saw it on the internet, and this guy said that hes been there.<<

Sounds like someone's replaying the old 'Carcer City' prank from GTA3 then. There were people who said that if you get a 100% game then you suddenly appear in Carcer City (which was mentioned on the radio in GTA3 and San Andreas), but I have a 100% in all three games and there is no Carcer City. smiley - sadface

>>I think if you go by boat you can see the whole island, but if by plane, then only portland, or something like that. Im not sure, but half the island isnt solid, so u can check by shooting something and if it sparks then its solid.<<

I went in the Hydra, which is the fighter jet, and the fastest vehicle in the game. It can hover, so if I find Liberty City I can just land it vertically.

>>Right know im about 3 lvls off Saint Mark's Bistro, I really wana do it, it sounds like an absolutely brilliant mission.<<

To be honest, it's rather dull. You spend about a minute driving to the airport, two minutes flying in a straight line, then you have to kill everyone in the resaurant, then you have to fly back to LV airport and land. If you fail at any point you have to go through all that flying again. smiley - groan

>>Black Project was really cool, and its deffinitely my favourite, what's yours?<<

'Black Project' was cool, but my favourite has to be 'Freefall' where you blow up that plane and jump out of it at the last second. Very good cinematics in that one.

Yeah, ive just completed "vertical bird" where you have to nick a hydra from naval base.

When i last posted i hadnt done freefall, but know i have to agree its fun, in its own "time crisis" kind of pop up and shoot the f**k out of everyone.

Black project is still my favourite, because freefall was a bit short, and i like the "meant to be stealth" missions, even though i charge in, M4 blazing, taking everyone out.

Is there something to make the hydra boost forwards like at the end of vertical bird (i dont know if it does it automatically, but it surged forwards after having killed the boats) because at the moment its pretty slow.

Im still not sure about about liberty city, its probably just a fake, but it sounds pretty cool.

Did you find it hard to get all the import / export vehicles?

If you had to choose what would be your favourite:

1. Car?
2. Motorbike?
3. Air Vehicle?

I love smiley - choc and smiley - tea

Ah, just like me. smiley - smiley

Push the right analouge stick forward; This pushes the thrust forwards and makes it fly like a plane. To make it faster keep pushing it until the thrust is completely horizontal. To go back into hover mode pull the stick back down again until the thrust is vertical again.

>>Im still not sure about about liberty city, its probably just a fake, but it sounds pretty cool.<<

There's a video of it at the bottom of this page: http://gtadomain.gtagaming.com/

You can't fly to it like you thought. It's actually in the 'blue hell' under Los Santos. I tried to do what the guy in the video did last night, but when I put my disc in the PS2 it got scratched to bits! I'll have to get disc repair stuff to play the game again! smiley - wah

>>Did you find it hard to get all the import / export vehicles?<<

smiley - groan It took me a whole weekend.

>>If you had to choose what would be your favourite:

Car: I used to love the Stinger from GTA3 and Vice City, but they neglected to nclude it in San Andreas smiley - cross So I'll have to go with the Banshee.
Motorbike: It depends, if I'm in a city then I like the PCJ900, or another one of those fast ones, but in the country I prefer the Sanchez.
Air Vehicle: The Hydra. smiley - drool

Thanx about the hydra, i was confused wen u said it was the fastest, coz i found it slow as heck.

Wat do those funny bomb things do?(press O in a hydra and it drop a kind of flash bomb)

Small Error: Its a PCJ600, not PCJ 900, the 900 is the FCR900.

Do u have to comlete all the schools (gold medal) to get 100%?

Ive just done LOS DESPERANDOS and it was a kick-ass M4 blazing moment of pure brilliance, same thing with Gang wars.

In "high noon" does Eddie Polaski actually die?, same question with Ryder in "Pier 69"

Y did they choose the same number for PIER 69, and AREA 69? Is 69 some sort of magic number?

>>Wat do those funny bomb things do?(press O in a hydra and it drop a kind of flash bomb)<<

I'm not sure, but I think that they're decoys. If an enemy plane is firing a missile at you, if you deploy one then the missile will aim at that instead.

>>Do u have to comlete all the schools (gold medal) to get 100%?<<

No. I only got all gold in flight school so that I could fly the hunter.

>>In "high noon" does Eddie Polaski actually die?, same question with Ryder in "Pier 69"<<

Yup, they're both dead.

>>Y did they choose the same number for PIER 69, and AREA 69? Is 69 some sort of magic number?<<

No idea. Maybe because it looks the same upsidedown and rightwayup?

Intersting theory about 69............

Ive only just noticed (after going on an online guide) that i can do the final mission.

My friend said that he did the second part of it at his cousins house.
It sounds a bit odd that people are randomly throwing grenades from the side of the road.

Wats up with the riot after "RIOT". Does it stay like that or do all the flame and rioting go away later?

All in all its a brilliant game, theres so much to do.

Do you ever cheat on SA? For like missions or messing around or wat?

Long live smiley - tea
