A Conversation for Roger Taylor of Queen
JR Started conversation Jan 15, 2001
This is a song taken from the Queen album "A Night At The Opera."
With Brian May on vocals, Freddie does not appear on the recording. Even live he was reduced to playing maraccas on it.
"Only The Good Die Young" was therefore not *quite* the first Queen recording without Freddie!

well I did my best, so OK then what songs do you like most?
Researcher 177402 Posted Jun 5, 2001
From that album, i can't quote a bad one, but from Queen II, i especially like March of the Black Queen, and Nevermore.
The Prophet's Song and Seaside Rendevouz are good, well, i don't think there has been a bad Queen Song!

I can't think of one that I could say I dislike there are a couple that I don't like so much, but even then I like them,
Keep yourself alive, I'd quite like to be played at my funeral, which i hope is a long way off
somebody to love, is also a very favorite, and so are most really
Researcher 178815 Posted Jun 7, 2001
Personally, i couldn't put ANY (From 1974 to 1992 & 1995 [i think made in heaven was released in '95])
in order of preference!! they're all really great, but i can't choose one over the next! some i will listen to over and over though!
(Like March of the Black Queen, that is a true favourite, but like i said, i don't like favouritism!)
I Think the stuff from the 70s was
the best, but this didn't stop the newer stuff from being classics!

That way, you're a mile away and you have their shoes".

There's only one Queen song I don't like to listen to and that's "You're My Best Friend". I suppose I'll get gunned down in flames for saying it and I'm not really sure why I dislike it. Too cutesie I suppose. Every other song is great though.

Looking through my Queen CDs, it strikes me that they've done songs in just about every style imaginable. Rock, blues, gospel, rock 'n' roll, ballad, even a hint of opera. And every one is a classic in it's own way - they all 'work'. There aren't many groups or individuals that you can say that about.

Sail away sweet sister. In this The Game´s song Freddie only appears singing a few seconds. Is my favourite but I don't understand all the lyrics. I'm spanish and my english isn't very good
Primord Posted Jul 2, 2002
it's a beautiful song isn't it?
I absolutely love Brian's voice.
Researcher 198129 Posted Jul 9, 2002
could you explain what it the meaning of this song really?
My english isn't very good.
you ask yourself how I love this song if I don't understand all the lyric but I've to say to you that the music and the feeling of brian voice does the rest.
Primord Posted Jul 9, 2002
hello again-I suppose (if you count what I think ) the song
is about a boyfriend and girlfriend growing apart-he still loves her but he wants her
to get on with her life.
Well that's what I think I'm probably completly wrong.
have you heard Brian's other stuff? like 'Back to the light?
Researcher 198129 Posted Jul 10, 2002
oh yes! I know all the work of brian on queen and soloist. I'm guitarplayer too and think it´s the greatest guitarplayer on the world and this galaxy I think it's due to he's a great musician too.
The last tour around the world at least I could see his show in Madrid. I'd never seen his live performance and I almost K.O.
