The Acrostic Poem
Created | Updated Dec 20, 2008

I was challenged by B'Elana to write an acrostic poem for The Post, and I challenged her to take the current telegram game word.
Chuffed
‘Chuffed as a maggot' was a term we'd use,
Having done something right for a change,
Unaware that the people down South use the word,
For a grumpy old miserly boor.
FAR from happy, the word meant annoyed or displeased,
Explaining the presence of the epithetical 'maggot',
Disgusted at seven line, non-rhyming acrostic pomes**.
**And yes - 'pomes' is spelt wrong!**
