A notice to choral singers

This applies mostly to amateurs (students, hobby singers, etc.) because we don't make money off of performances, but I need to say one important thing. When your group has rehearsals and sectionals, don't put them at the bottom of your priorities. Attendance will make or break the choir. If you are only required to go to 2 or 3 section rehearsals, go to 6. Your director will hear the difference.
I just got done with a term of Concert Choir in college and two of the tenors didn't show up until dress rehearsal week thinking that they were fine because they were good sight-singers, but it could have been way better if they had actually come to the class.
