I couldn't agree more about the Haynes manuals. Mr. Haynes (or whoever is ultimately responsible) should be nominated for sainthood. This coming from a former owner of no less the 6 various MGBs and a regular receiver of the curse of Mr. Lucas!

Coudn't agree more about Haynes Manuals. If doing some of the work yourself saves you the cost of half an hours garage time then the manual has more than paid for itself. I had to strip my motorbike engine over the summer, and I couldn't have done it without the manual.
If anyone wants to know what parts of the bike were replaced, then they can just trace the trail of oily fingerprints through the relevant manual sections.
