Hey, there's probably a million names for toasties:
a) Toasties
b) Toasted Sandwiches (boring)
c) Breville's (a particular favourite of my parents for some reason)
d) a Jaffle (from one of these postings)
There has to be more, come on, I wanna hear some names for toasted sandwiches, a snack for kings and students alike.

Dear Barry
I agree that toasted sanwiches are a favorite for students, but I could not afford a sandwich toaster when I was a student (I live in South Afica and appliances are pricey.) We therefore discovered that toasted sandwiches can be very effectively made with an iron. Simply place a sheet of tin foil on the ironing board, preheat iron and press firmly down on the sandwich. Flip sanwich over and repeat process. Toasted sanwiched are therefore also known as ironies or zarms amoung South Afican students.

Is this for real? Who on earth (or not, as the case may be) came up with that idea?
Is the converse of this true? Is it possible to do your ironing in a sandwich toaster?
In case you haven't guessed, I'm also a student with very little money
