A Conversation for 'Band On The Run' by Paul McCartney

This album heralded a thawing of the MCCartney/Lennon relationship. Although they had privately patched things up a year or so earlier, this was the occasion when Lennon publicly admitted his interest in what his 'estranged fiancee' was doing, albeit in a backhanded way.
When asked about the album, he said 'They call it Wings, but it's Paul McCartney music. Which is good stuff.'

That's true - and the song "Let Me Roll It" was considered to contain a message to John. I can't really explain what - doesn't make much sense to me, but that's what I've reads and been told.
I must say that I knew it was around this time that they were becoming "friends" again, but I didn't know it happened like that. So thanks for telling me about it.
