What a wonderfully well-written and thoughtful article! The text should be engraved (preferably using a blunt, unsterilised cold chisel!) on the heart of every unfeeling, uncaring sack-you I'm-all-right-Jack employer in the UK!
There, that feels better!!
The situation you describe is one of the main reasonsI shall soon be moving back to the civilised, sensible environment of support and assistance which we can be certain to receive for my diabetic wife, who is being slowly crippled by incipient rheumatoid arthritis, when we move to her home country, SWEDEN.
The fact that Sweden and Britain are BOTH equal signatories to all the conventions and agreements which are supposed to be binding on ALL member countries of the EU doesn't seem to worry anyone in authority in this country.
Perhaps you'd consider doing a "Cut & Paste" on the Princess Trust Careers Message Board? Not everyone reads h2g2, you know
My advice to everyone who CAN: get out while the going's good ... and last man out, don't forget to turn off the lights .........
Thanks a million!

Unfortunately, if you leave the country, you're elegible for even less support elsewhere than you are here, unless you're a foreign citizen.
Thanks a million!

Thanks for your positive remarks Bagheera. Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I've only just noticed your message. Perhaps I should put a link to this entry on the PRTC site. Something to think about.
Key: Complain about this post
Thanks a million!
