A Conversation for Just a Minute - the Radio Programme

Just A Minute

The show is often at its greatest when an argument develops, or when the panellists decide to gang up on the unfortunate chairman, who by accident or design always seems to be slightly out of his depth.
I also always love Paul Merton's surreal flights of fantasy which become more and more bizarre for as long as he can get away with it. Inviting him to step into the shoes of the much-missed Kenneth Williams was a stroke of genius at a time many thought it would end. I remember in his first year or two he struck up a great spontaneous double-act with the late Richard Murdoch - one of the earliest radio comedians.
