About a week ago, a two men in thier late 40's approached a friend of mine and I, and presented us with a pamphlet and began to tell us of thier Pastor. Here was a man, who claimed, merely by asking you a few questions, to judge you weather you were going to heaven or hell. He might as well have said, "I talked to god yesterday, he told me your going to burn". Now this man was a baptist, mind you, but so many people judge like they have a right to, especially in religion.
Now, my personal opinion of the Church of LDS, is that its the funniest thing since the Church of the Subgenius. Racism embedded in its core, a belief which includes bee's and your status in it often depends on how far back you can you trace you lineage and whom to. I often see it as writings of a man who ate too many of the wrong kind of mushroom. But Im far from saying its a horrible religion. I have met some absolutely beautiful people who have been mormon, and some absolutely horrible ones. Nothing is completely bad, or completely good.
The LDS has the better view on Christ that most, in my view. The view him as a man, not without sin, not without error, not without vice, but a man. Now, I myself, though Pagan, believe in Jesus Christ. Not as most do though. I believe him to be a brilliant, but very misinterpreted man. Most call him "The Son of God", but arent we all the children of god, then? I believe the message was just that, that we are all children of God, all on our own paths to sainthood. He preached acceptance of all because he saw us all for what we are. Children, and all of us trying very hard to grow up. I believe the true reason why Jesus Christ was able to manage all of his miricles, was his faith. Not in God, not in someone or somthing else, but himself, and his faith in love. For if anything can cure the blind, the sick and the leper's, is it not love? Love in its purest truest form? I also belive, the reason why he was able to do such amazing, beautiful things, was that he knew how to laugh. To see all things as the biggest, most wonderful, beutiful joke.
"My shoes are too tight, But Im not crying beacause of that. Im crying because it does not matter, because I have forgotten how to dance."
And I know the Secret of the Bee's!
