Really pleased to see them back together, I hope it lasts. The new album (Just went to their site and listened to most of it) is pretty good and reminds me a lot of their older stuff (Baggy Trousers Era) with a hint of the more recent, and some real solid Ska in there too. On one hearing I think I like the new Madness a lot (also brings back cool memories)
Drip fed Fred with Ian Dury is VERY good and completely different from anything they've done yet, but then they always could do that, I didn't expect "The return of the Las Palmas 7" and "Grey day" is unusually dark for them.
The band give the impression of being, just these guys, you know? maybe the sum is greater than the parts, but there is more to them than appears at first glance.
