Madness pretty much started out as a Prince Buster tribute band; they are named after a Prince Buster song, and the title track of their first album, One Step Beyond, is also by Prince Buster.
IMHO, this makes Prince Buster the only musician whose tribute band has a tribute band.
Prince Buster was (is - He still gigs occasionaly) one of the greatest exponents of Jamacan Ska, so it's not too suprising that the pioneers of British Ska should copy him a bit.
