WOW! I'm not the only one who still remembers Mason. This is so cool! Most folks just return blank stares when he's mentioned.
Sunflower also inspired an instrumental piece, which appeared on [if memory serves] the albumn Mason William's Listening Matter. A photograph of the Sunflower was on the back cover.
My favorite of Mason's one-liners is "Do you ever get the feeling that dogs are just dumb guys who can't do any better?"
And my fav essay is "How to Derive the Maximum Enjoyment from Eating Crackers". One of the true comic masterworks of our time.
