Some years ago – at yuletide – whilst driving home one night,
Policemen stopped a friend of mine and said he’d jumped a light,
Instead of being breathalysed, he asked to be arrested,
Reluctantly they took him in, where he at once attested,

“I do not drink, I do not smoke, but will say, if I can,
That these two smell of alcohol” – the s**t then hit the fan.
