1. The actor who played Rabies also had a bit part in 'Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves'. He can clearly be seen in the scene where Robin fights Little John. Ands he looks exactly the same as he did in 'Maid Marian'!
2. I am actually from Worksop, made infamous by the said television show. I believe very little, if any, of the filming actually took place here, but the cast did come on a tour here, I seem to recall.
3. Worksop is not a small village covered in mud, but economic recession could easily reduce it to those levels. Worksop was also recently featured in a television documentary about drug addiction and abuse in former mining areas, which I flatly refused to watch on the grounds of preserving my mental equilibrium.
