A Conversation for The Slow-worm
When slow worms breed
euanfelton Started conversation Apr 19, 2011
I have had a colony of slow worms in my garden since I moved in 20 years ago and contrary to what the books say they give birth from March or sometimes February if it is warm (not this year!)and continue to do so until late autumn. There does not seem to be any particular time except for a few months in winter when there are more or less newborn slow worms in my compost heap. Has anyone else observed this?
