Durham Cathedral could not hold a candle to St. Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, UK. It was orginally built as a church soon as the Roman Empire left and when everyone was converted to Christainity. Slowly over time it was extended into a cathedral and is the religious centre of the Christian Community in Tyne and Wear.
