Nebraska is one of those states that I had to get out the map to see just where it is. It looks pretty flat from the map and bigger than my whole country. You have not mentioned any giant illuminated crosses on adjacent hills or on tall buildings. It sounds to me like a place worth visiting if just for that reason.

The buildings are not particularly tall, no.
Way out west in Alliance, Nebraska (good luck finding that on a map) we do have `Carhenge,' a replica of Stonehenge built out of old cars...
