Isn't this one of the most funniest movies you've ever seen? How can you imagine something like the Blue Meanies or Glove?
It's definetely one of the best films I've ever seen and it's great that someone wrote about it! Thank you!

This definately is one of my favourite films ever - I just love every detail and have seen it more often than I can seriously remember.
The Blue Meanies are great - I've been drawing them for a very long time, and now I own all the Beatles figures from Yellow Submarine, as well as both albums and the calender and posters etc... Plus my Yellow Submarine collection - I have 3 so far. Yes, I have been accused of being obsessed with the film, but it's such a unique film to be obsessed with. Nothing has ever been made like it since.
I'm very glad to find someone who appreciates it too.

Hello Bluebottle!
I love that "(Blessed is he who can laugh at himself for he shall have endless amusement)" - it's so true.
I didn't know that there's something like Beatles figures or models of the Yellow Submarine. I'm from Germany and I don't think that there's anything like that here. Sad!
I love the humour of the film (always thought it to be very British - but maybe it isn't ?). And what's the name of that little Blue Meanie who's with the boss?
I think you're absolutely right: Yellow Submarine really is unique. In my opinion it's also the best film the Beatles ever did.

Hello Lena, the figures of Yellow Submarine characters only came out this year, after the film was re-released last year, and sadly were only available in a few shops. I haven't seen them around for a while, so I fear that they were only a limited edition. You may be able to get them, though...
The humour in the film is fairly British, but then, there isn't one "British" sense of humour, but lots of different ones that branch off in all directions! As for the name of the main Blue Meanie - I must admit I've no idea. He's not actually called anything in the film (although his assistant "Max" is), so he just seems to be the main Blue Meanie.
But it is a great film - and I love all the Beatles ones, with "Help!" as my second favourite.

Hi Bluebottle!
I don't think I know "Help". I can remeber just two other Beatles films: the one with the ring and Ringo and the one with the grandfather ( being a bit like a filmversion of a documentary about the Beatles). Is "Help" one of them?

"Help!" is the Beatles film with Ringo having a sacrificial ring, and the documentary-like film is "A Hard Days Night". The only other film they did that is available at the moment is "Magical Mystery Tour", which involves a bus and complete chaos and not that much happens.
"Yellow Submarine" is definately the best, and is just such a good film.

Oh, alright I see. I agree with you then: "Help" comes on the second place. And I think - although you can't compare it to such an outstanding film like "Yellow Submarine" - it's really fun, too.

Looks like we definatley agree, then.
But "Yellow Submarine" is a very imaginative cartoon - all of it is so unique, and not merely copying a Disney-idea, which sadly so many other cartoons do.
What's your favourite part? And what's your favourite song?
