You think that your busses are bad, you should try coming to live in Devon, where our bus drivers are in the middle of disputes over pay with Stagecoach, and are reguarlly striking (about three times a week at the moment, and there are threatening more). On strike days you are lucky if you see a bus at all and then risk being taken on a mystery tour as drivers bought in from other regions, attempt to drive routes they don't know. So a half hour journey could last indefiniatly. On other days that there are no strikes you either have to put up with drivers constant bleatings over their pay and conditions or sit waiting at bus stops for ages while some passengers either hurl abuse at drivers for striking, or choose to discuss the finer points of employment law with them.
And lets not get started on the state of the 'regular' service!
