Global warming/climate change

Is it just me, or does Terry seem unable to take the issue of climate change seriously on his show? I'm not suggesting that he doesn't believe it is happening or that you shouldn't make jokes about it, but I personally feel that by not saying anything in counter argument to those who email/text in on his show, he has created a platform for the sceptics and doubters to broadcast their opinions.
Yes, I think people should be free to doubt it is happening and say so (even if that is a rather daft view to hold now). But, Terry underestimates the clout his word has and by seemingly saying nothing he is giving fuel to the sceptics. Worse, he legitimtises the view that it is ok to sit back and do nothing to help combat climate change, when the rest of us try our best to do our bit.
Would be interested to hear from anyone who feels he does not come across like this.

On this, the sort of morning where the snow is howling down and the great temptation is to say "what ****ing global warming?" as you trudge to the bus stop in three inches of white stuff - I can't say I've ever given this a second thought, and I listened to Wogan most mornings. I'm pretty sure Evans will bypass it too when he gets into his stride - it doesn't feature much, if at all , on Driveltime...
The relentless hammering on about "children in need" does get on your nuts a bit, though, along with the implication that if you don't give, you're the meanest most tight-ar$ed skinflint to be allowed to walk God's green earth and uselessly absorb free oxygen...
