A Conversation for 'MASH' - the Film
The Novel

I did read the novel, long ago, and recall enjoying it. Some reviews and excerpts here:

One bit I liked was when two of the doctors, I think in civilian clothes, hitch a ride in an army truck to play golf or something. On arrival, a private looks in the truck and says "Garrada dare." One officer asks the other, "What did he say?" The second officer responds, "He says he is from Brooklyn and he would like us to exit this vehicle."

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
