A Conversation for My Little Pony

Concerning "Bronies"

Post 1

Ramya Krishna Mulugu

I'm planning to write a new entry about "Bronies", who are primarily older (adolescent and beyond) males, sometimes females, who watch My little Pony. Has anyone ever heard of this unusual phenomena, either through personal experience or word of mouth? I will still be researching this, but I wanted to see the direct influence. I myself had never heard of it, but a few weeks ago, 2 friends of mine happen to be Bronies themselves. I was interested to know about specific culture/societal points of bronyism. Any contributions will be helpful.smiley - biggrin

Dmitri Gheorgheni - Not Banned in China

Hey, there. We've been talking about 'Bronies' this week over at my journal: http://h2g2.com/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2130683?thread=8294705 (I hope the link's working. If it isn't, just click on my name and go to the journal.) There are some links in that thread for you, and you might want to talk to Amy Pawlowski - she's just admitted to being a big fan of 'My Little Pony'. As you can tell from the thread, I'm not a fan, and just happened across the phenomenon when I noticed that John de Lancie was planning a documentary on the subject of Bronies. I'm looking forward to that guide entry.

As a Brony myself, I'd be happy to help in any way with this.
