h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

As a Drama student at the University of Northumbria, I am going to add my tuppence on the culture of newcastle. Cultural Democarcy versus the Democratisation of Culture is a battle that has been long fought, and newcastle is becoming one of the brightest venues for the arts, from Newcastle playhouse, the theatre royal, down to a kids Drama workshopin Benwell. This year, with the Buzzword being Millennium, we are all involved in Living History projects on various important sites around the City, to teach the kids a bit about the the city they come from. Unfortunately nobody is doing the Biggmarket (wall to wall pubs!) I'm involved at Bessies Surtees house, headquarters of english heritage with two authentic and restored rooms open to the public, from which Bessie Surtees eloped. Another group has The castle Keep, the newcastle of fame.
And a fabulous bit of local culture has just invaded Londons west end, GO SEE COOKING WITH ELVIS, its poingnant, black, but better still funny as f**k!! It now stars Frank Skinner, but the rest of the Cast are authentic. Charlie Hardwick I love you. (No, its a bird, and uni old girl who took our class for a unit last year, and shes fab)
Do references to the Biggmarket translate, I really want to go see it again just to see. So from this pile of waffle, any questions??
