Though I am the 1st to admit that after 18 years of living in Stevenage it isn't always the most friendly of places and may seem dreary to some, but it does have its charms, mainly due to the people who live there (in some parts).
Really, it's not that bad !
Although I have moved away ... maybe that's a sign, ahem ...

Acertain confessorial, temp. landlord advised me the other day that while it might be a "concept" town, the people in it had little concept of how to behave. I think he may have been from Harlow (Essex).

Stevenage stevenage poor old stevenage. Nobody seems to realise that Stevenage could be a jewel if only there was a little more investment and a few more tasteful facilities. Its got an excellent location - 25 mins to Kings Cross, affordable housing, decent people. One of the preetiest old towns in the south east. And its in the heart of the country side.
Hello - Stevenage Council get a grip - open your eyes, market the town, redevelop the eyesores ( they did it for parts of London - so what is the excuse ?) bull doze the town centre and make people proud of where they come from.

Stevenage is a boring shithole. And I'm from Hatfield. So you know that that place is a dump.
BTW, How long have you been holding the Ugly Man/Woman contest every Saturday down the town?
