I vaguely remember that the name is also given to river boats in the Far East - like big dugouts with a 20cc two-stroke engine on a stick.

I thought it was spelled "TUC" and was a cheese based cracker snack thingy.

Or was that Ritz?

I've always seen it spelled "Tuk"

I've had one too many close encounters with tuk tuks and can assure you the vehicle in which my farang (foreign) friend and I stuffed ourselves (one of the small single Thai person tuk tuks) was not a cracker, cheese or otherwise. . .
