This St. Patricks is very important to me. As (the unofficial) patron saint of drinking, the fact that this St. Patricks is also my 18th birthday, I am probably getting completely sloshed at the local pub smiley - smiley With my parents smiley - sadface At my expense smiley - sadface Oh well. Just think of the alchohol.

I reckon I should go to Ireland for St. Patricks some year. Could be very fun...

I'll meet you in the Dawson Lounge - the smallest pub in Dublin and right where the parade itself starts...and nobody knows about it so it won't be full of tourists....

It might still be a tricky pub to find as there's only the doorway visible at street level. It also has very little (apart from not being jammed) going for it. If you want my tips - try the list on the "Virtual pub-crawl" thread...exp. Messrs Maguires.

Thanks for the advice. I've got good friends who live in Dublin 1, so I'll have good, reliable guides !!(until they get too pissed to know where they are going!)
