good evening to all ! here in france is 23.45h sunday... in read the runway of kulusuk airport is 500 meters long... my question is 500 or 5000 meters long ? some friends want fly from france to glasgow then reykjavik, then kulusuk, then nuuk, then schefferville for a test of prototype aircraft between europe and usa... thanks for precisions ! denys

It is indeed 500m long ( in comparison to this, the runway of London City Airport with a length of 1319m seems to be quite long ).

ok and thank you for answer ! I transmit the lenght of 500 meters to the pilot of piper seminole... perhaps with 30° flaps and minimal approach speed, this is possible ! but we hawe normally a 160 kts approach speed on big commercial airports because other liners want not wait too long the runway is clear due to little approach speed of private aircrafts... friendly yours : denys

True, I'd not advise anybody to land there at high speed, it already makes me nervous when landing at London City Airport, what with the Thames being so close, and the runway being so short But they do it quite well, actually
