It must be pointed out that this is the pattern in Cambridge as well. In addition, there is a phenomenon known as traffic light parties... essentially combining cocktails with attempts to pull. Each party goer must wear an item of clothing in either red (unavailable and just here to get pissed), orange (technically unavailable but could be convinced), or green (go on, take me now). Success depends on the ability to imbibe large quantities of alcohol whilst avoiding cocktail shaker's droop and not throwing up over the object of your affections.
