Didn't he one visit a cheese factory in Australia and refuse to wear a hairnet, which resulted in all the cheese that was being made at the time being destroyed on health grounds? That must have cost someone (probably us) a reasonable amount of money.

Yeah it was actually a big vat of milk. All of it ended up being donated to research.
Well at least we're one step closer to finding out the long term effects of Prince Phillip's hair in milk.
