Hey Paully I suppose I might have contributed inadvertently. But I've hardly been around hootoo for the last couple of months and don't remember adding anything to any discussion about H8 at any time before that. Perhaps it's something from one of my other edited entries?
I'm still confused

This might clear up how your name got on it... you posted to a conversation.

Hello TRiG I would feel better if my name was taken off the entry please.
To my way of thinking it's disingenuous to assume any responsibility for it when all I did was make a comment in a conversation. If that were the rule of thumb, everybody who comments in PR would end up taking credit for the entries
So I would be most grateful if you could do that for me.

The difference here is that this was a Topic of the Week, clearly designed and advertised as anyone commenting would be added to the entry.
As the idea was that it would encourage people to want to write for the Guide, or to give those that really couldn't write an Edited Guide credit to their name, *everyone* who made a comment that was vaguely relevant was credited. "The best contributions will be compiled for a future Edited Guide entry." Ok, so your comment wasn't necessarily 'the best' but it was typical that everyone would be credited.
It doesn't mean you hold any responsibility, and frankly after all this time I think it's a bit silly.

There is no drama here... back in 05 when this thread started I didn't understand why I was being credited. Now I do.
The fact that my contribution to the entry was so miniscule leads me to feel disingenuous about having my name there. But if hootoo so wishes, so be it
