Ten Steps To Ruining Your Own Novel #10

It takes the same amount of effort to write a bestseller as it does a doorstop.

There are really no secrets for successful novel writing.

Some writers knew someone who knew someone.

Others slogged around to the publishers.

If you are writing hoping to supplement your paycheck,

be aware that there are many professional novel writers

who are hoping for that big movie sale. Then they might

pay off some debts.

There are writers whom I wouldn't trust to write care instructions

for a sick kitten who are millionaires and everything they write

flies off the shelf.

There are writers whom I think are the greatest thing since

sliced bread who barely broke even during their lives.

It is hard to count the cost on a writer and his family.

Some people agonize through every page while others sail along

effortlessly, with neither style particularly guaranteed to

produce a good read.

The whole bruhaha in a nutshell: I don't have a clue.
