Brutally Honest
I want you to be truthful constantly
For down the path of lying, no good lies
Trust and openness must always be:
Without them a relationship soon dies
And how else could I know the real you?
Or you discover what makes me this way?
If we don't own up to our potent brew
And be prepared to listen, come what may
The wound cut by the sword of truth, still raw
Nags at me yet, I pick and scratch and gnaw
'Truth is Beauty - Beauty, Truth' I've heard
The bare-faced naked truth is not so fair
When thrown out to a victim unprepared
Truth should bear the warning 'Use with care'
